Rickenbacker (2008) 4004CII Cheyenne Bass - Fireglo, w/OHSC

A distinctive and now-discontinued member of the Rickenbacker bass family, this 2008 4004Cii Cheyenne II offers a more modern and refined interpretation of the company's classic neck-through bass design.

The Cheyenne II features an attractive combination of maple and walnut construction, with a contoured body that provides a smoother, more ergonomic feel than the traditional bound 4003. The transparent Fireglo finish beautifully showcases the contrasting woods and figured grain underneath.

Rather than the familiar single-coil configuration of the 4003, the 4004Cii is equipped with a pair of Rickenbacker humbucking pickups. These deliver a full, powerful sound while retaining the definition, sustain, and distinctive character associated with Rickenbacker's neck-through basses. A streamlined control layout further distinguishes the Cheyenne II from its more traditional siblings.

Gold-plated hardware, triangular fingerboard inlays, and upscale appointments give the 4004Cii an appropriately premium appearance. Discontinued and produced in considerably smaller numbers than the ubiquitous 4003, the Cheyenne II has become an increasingly interesting model for Rickenbacker players and collectors.

This 2008 example is finished in classic Fireglo and includes its original hardshell case.
