Rickenbacker (1992) 325V59 Electric Guitar - Mapleglo, w/OHSC

A beautiful early-'90s example of Rickenbacker's discontinued Vintage Series, this 1992 325V59 recreates the compact, short-scale 325 design forever associated with John Lennon's earliest Rickenbacker.

Finished in classic Mapleglo, the 325V59 features a small semi-hollow maple body, set-in maple neck, rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, and an exceptionally short 20 3/4" scale length. The combination gives the 325 a remarkably compact playing feel and a quick, distinctive response unlike that of a conventional full-scale electric guitar.

Three vintage-style Rickenbacker Toaster Top single-coil pickups provide the bright attack, clarity, harmonic richness, and unmistakable jangle associated with the company's classic electric guitars. A three-way selector and traditional volume and tone controls provide a range of distinctive pickup combinations, while the factory Bigsby B5 vibrato adds expressive pitch control and contributes to the model's unmistakable early-rock-and-roll appearance.

The 325V59 was Rickenbacker's first serious Vintage Series recreation of the late-'50s 325 and predates the later C58 reissue. Produced for a comparatively limited period and discontinued decades ago, original V59 examples have developed a following among Rickenbacker collectors and Beatles enthusiasts in their own right.

The natural Mapleglo finish is particularly effective on the 325V59, showcasing the maple construction and giving the instrument an appearance closely tied to the original late-'50s 325 before John Lennon's guitar was refinished black.

This 1992 example includes its original hardshell case.
