Epiphone (2025) ES-345 "Back to the Future" Limited Edition - Cherry Red, w/OHSC

Celebrating the 40th anniversary of one of the most iconic guitar moments in movie history, this 2025 Epiphone Back to the Future ES-345 recreates the Cherry Red ES-345 played by Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly during the legendary “Enchantment Under the Sea” performance in Back to the Future.

Limited to just 1,985 guitars worldwide in recognition of the film's original 1985 release, this special-edition ES-345 combines authentic movie-inspired details with a fully featured semi-hollow guitar designed to be played as well as collected.

The five-ply layered maple semi-hollow body is constructed around a solid maple centerblock, providing the resonance and warmth associated with Gibson's ES family while improving sustain and resistance to feedback. Spruce bracing and traditional f-holes complete the classic semi-hollow construction.

A mahogany neck with a comfortable Rounded “C” profile is paired with a bound rosewood fingerboard featuring 22 medium-jumbo frets and the ES-345's distinctive pearloid split-parallelogram inlays. The 60s Kalamazoo-style headstock features mother-of-pearl Epiphone and Gibson Crown inlays, while the back carries a special Hill Valley Music store decal referencing the fictional music shop from the film.

Two Epiphone Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers provide warm, vintage-inspired tones, with independent volume and tone controls for each pickup. A six-position mono Varitone dramatically expands the available tonal palette, providing the distinctive switching system historically associated with the ES-345.

Gold hardware includes a LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and Bigsby B70 vibrato. In a particularly faithful movie-inspired touch, the original Stop Bar mounting studs remain installed beneath the Bigsby, recreating the configuration seen on the guitar used in the film.

The package is completed by an exclusive vintage-style hardshell case featuring Marvin Berry and the Starlighters graphics, further distinguishing this limited edition from a standard-production Epiphone ES model.
