About the Hyperion
The Hyperion throughout it's history has been known as the Big Muff killer. Why? At lower settings it has a wooly fuzz sound reminiscent of the Sovtek Green Big Muff, known for it's distinctive rounded fuzz tone. The difference between the Hyperion and Big Muff is a clarity of tone that, while retaining its roundness, also allows a guitar to cut through. While the Big Muff is able to go from muffled to wooly, the Hyperion goes from wooly to a high intensity more akin to an Ampeg Scrambler. So where the Big Muff ends, the Hyperion is just getting started.
What is the 2503 series?
It's a way to distinguish this series of guitar pedals begun manufacturing March 2025. Throughout the years I've enjoyed changing up the look and layout of my guitar pedals but I've done a bad job previously keeping track of the various changes. Hopefully this helps collectors better distinguish the various eras of my effects moving forward. Also, as a graphic designer I enjoy creating new looks for my gear.
