‘The Ellary’ model began as a riff on a T style guitar — but finished as quite a departure from the classic. The contours and visual elements really set this guitar apart from the crowd. While it is decisively a modern design, it still retains integrity as a palatable guitar. Named for the middle name of my oldest daughter, ‘The Ellary’ has clear vision in design elements; while not letting novel shapes take away from the fundamentals of what make a great sounding and playing instrument.
ARM BEVEL
Articulate visual lines, but soft feeling ergonomics; framed nicely by rope purfling and ivoroid binding. The bevel on the body and peghead nicely reflect one another.
HEADSTOCK BEVEL
Subtle bevel on the headstock is highlighted by a purfling outline and complimentary color scheme. A fresh look for a 6-in-line peghead, and it completes the bevel motif.
CONTOURED HEEL/CUTAWAY
Relief in the cutaway area is nice for playing lead lines, and also a good design opportunity to add more stylish visual lines to the back of the guitar.
RECESSED PICKGUARD
The pickguard is inlaid into the top so that it sits flush with the surface of the top. Out of the way of your hands, adding to the sleek and streamlined vibe.
RIB CONTOUR
It is a crisp and intentionally carved shape that is both comfortable against your body and aesthetically pleasing.
LEG CONTOUR
Rests easy on your leg when sitting down. Plus it looks really cool!
