The Wolfgang Jellinghaus 2020 Alemana EF CD/CD CD/AR is an expertly crafted model that draws inspiration from the well-known "Signature" model with a few modifications. These include a standard elevated fingerboard, single sides, and African rosewood back and sides. The internal bracing system is specifically designed to optimize sound production, utilizing most of the soundboard and allowing for effortless sound projection from the bridge area to the uppermost reaches of the top.
The instrument boasts a large volume, thanks to the lightweight lattice-braced double-top system for the soundboard, which utilizes nomex between two pieces of cedar. The guitar is also remarkably easy to play, aided by its immediate responsiveness and sleek, easy neck shape for the left hand. This concert guitar is truly remarkable and one of a kind. Despite being used, it shows only minor wear in the finish and is otherwise in excellent condition.
With the recent passing of Wolfgang Jellinghaus and his work rate of building only a few guitars a year, this guitar is a rarity that will only continue to gain value and beauty in its depth of sound.
