Introducing the Joe Pass Emperor-II PRO Archtop, a magnificent homage to the renowned "President of Bebop Guitar" and legendary jazz genius. With a pioneering and incomparable sound, Joe Pass captured the hearts of jazz legends such as Ella Fitzgerald, Les McCaan, and Oscar Peterson. As a tribute to his impressive career, Epiphone proudly presents this stunning archtop guitar that embodies Joe Pass's unparalleled talent and innovative style.

Experience true archtop sound with the Epiphone Joe Pass Emperor-II PRO featuring a fully hollow single cutaway body made of laminated flame maple back and sides, along with a select spruce top. Hand-scalloped bracing and a strategically placed sound post support the arched top for superior tone and resonance. Available in Natural, Wine Red, or Joe's favorite Vintage Sunburst, this elegant archtop boasts a traditionally-shaped tortoise-style bound pickguard showcasing Epiphone's signature metal "E" and multi-ply binding for the top, back, F-holes, neck, and headstock.

The Epiphone Joe Pass Emperor-II PRO boasts a hand-set 3-piece laminated hard maple neck with a comfortable and fast 1960s SlimTaper C shape, and a 24.75" scale length for a classic feel. The rosewood fingerboard is home to 22 medium jumbo frets, providing exceptional playability, while elegant pearloid block inlays add to its sophisticated appearance. Topped with a Graphtech NuBone XL nut, this fingerboard offers precise intonation and string balance. This nut is as durable as bone without any risk of cracking or chipping. The headstock is adorned with a beautiful "tree of life" inlay, a classic design seen on the finest Epiphone archtops since the 1930s.

The Epiphone Joe Pass Emperor-II PRO offers a blend of vintage character and modern versatility with its duo of PAF-style ProBucker humbuckers. These renowned "Patent Applied For" pickups, originally crafted in the late 1950s in Kalamazoo, Michigan, are highly coveted for their unique sound. Epiphone recreates this distinctive tone by using the same high-quality materials as the originals, including 18% Nickel Silver Unit bases and covers, Sand cast Alnico II magnets, and high-quality 4-conductor lead wire. Additionally, both pickups are vacuum wax potted to eliminate microphonics and ensure the best possible sound.

The guitar utilizes a traditional control layout, including a 3-way toggle switch with an ivory cap and separate volume and tone knobs for each pickup. This versatile setup gives you a wide range of tones, with the volume knobs equipped with push/pull pots that can instantly switch to single-coil mode. The volume and tone knobs have Top Hat knobs with metal inlays and are spaced slightly further apart than a standard archtop.

The Epiphone Joe Pass Emperor-II PRO is equipped with high-quality gold-plated nickel hardware, such as Grover Rotomatic tuning machines with an 18:1 ratio for efficient and accurate tuning. The guitar also features a floating rosewood bridge with thumbwheels for convenient adjustments on the spot, and a vintage-style scroll "trapeze" tailpiece reminiscent of classic Kalamazoo-made archtops.
