The 1954 J-160E, made famous by the Fab Four, is a hybrid acoustic-electric guitar featuring a spruce top with ladder bracing and a modified P-90. The first year of the Gibson J-160E electric round shoulder dreadnought is unique from in that it uses a solid spruce top and has only 19 frets on the neck as opposed to 20 on all later models. Unplugged, it produces a very mid-heavy sound, and when plugged in, it has a woody, almost electric sound. The frets, body, tuners, and finish are all in excellent condition and the guitar has gone through our 99 point luthier setup for optimal playing feel, comfort, and efficiency.
